ORGANISERS of popular Newton Abbot music festival Lemonfest have announced the first set of acts for this year’s event.
The summer spectacle is returning to the town’s racecourse in June but this year, it will be running over two days.
Actor and DJ Craig Charles has been added to the bill along with Gentlemans Dub Club, We Are Scientist, SHY FX, Dreadzone and Little Comets.
Last year almost 5,000 people flocked to the event and it is hoped more punters will walk through the gates this year.
Other acts gracing the stage include Fenech Soler, Alice Jemima, Chainska Brassika, Reigning Days, Shanty, Big Fish Little Fish, Dead Ground, Tourists, Jacob Riddall, Rothwell, Supenik and Ash Avery - with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
Organiser Matt Freemantle said: ‘Moving to two days is exciting enough and we have been able to have a lot of fun with this years’ music line-up.’
Six stages will be on hand this year to provide festival-goers with a variety of entertainment from the Drum and Bass arena to the Acoustic Stage.
Matt added: ‘It is keeping with our personal eclectic tastes and is going to be one hell of a party.
‘We can’t wait to share the rest of it with you all, alongside all of the non-music surprises we have got in store too.’
