Teignmouth trio Muse have been selected to provide the official song for the London 2012 Olympics.

The news comes just weeks after the band returned to their home town and had the honour of carrying the Olympic torch in the relay across Shaldon Bridge.

Their track, titled Survival, will be played when athletes enter the stadium, in the lead up to the medal ceremony and also the theme for international TV coverage.
