THREE charities have benefited from last year’s Santa Dash in Bovey Tracey.

The 2023 dash saw 176 people of all ages take part in the event.

It raised £1,500 which was divided between several charities.

Of the total, £400 went to Bovey Tracey Lifesaving Club which educates young children, teenagers and parents in water safety, emergency life saving rescue skills, resuscitation, use of defibrillator and other medical conditions.

A further £500 was donated to Bovey Tracey swimming pool to help with the cost of energy supplies and £600 was donated to Devon Heart heroes to help support families of children who have life limiting and congenital heart conditions.

For the last four years, on behalf of Bovey Tracey Lifesaving Club and the pool, Ian and Sue Hutchings have organised the event and have raised more than £5,000 for various charities.
