AUTHOR broadcaster, speaker and blogger Justin Newland will be giving a talk at Chudleigh Town Hall on Friday, May 3.
The Somerset-based writer will be presenting a talk entitled The Limits of Empire to Chudleigh History Group at the Woodway Room from 7.30pm
He explores England’s coming of age during the Elizabethan era, when the nation shed its image as a small misty isle on the edge of continental Europe to become the hun of a new world of trade and communication and will explain how these events inspired his latest novel, The Mark of the Salamander.
