A LIVE feed of emergency work by Devon’s police is beginning and your Mid-Devon Advertiser will bring you a live blog update of local incidents.

Devon and Cornwall Police is set to share live real-time updates on hundreds of incidents from 3pm today as part of a 12-hour tweetathon of every contact received into the force via 999 and 101.

In the equivalent 12-hour period last year, the force dealt with 1,079 calls; 539 of these through the emergency 999 line and 540 via the 101 non-emergency number in addition to processing 421 digital contacts. This resulted in the Force creating 487 incidents and recording 145 crimes.
