A BLAZING van brought traffic to a standstill on the A380 at Kingsteignton this morning.

Fire crews from Newton Abbot extinguished the blaze which completely destroyed the vehicle in a lay-by off the Exeter-bound carriageway.

Highways staff were called to mop up petrol which leaked from the van during the fire near Eagle Farm.

No one was hurt.

Two hosereels were used to tame the flames which engulfed the vehicle just after 11.30am.
