POLICE in Teignmouth are appealing for witnesses after the theft of a garden chair and damage to a greenhouse.

The incidents happened around the same time and officers say it is likely they are linked.

The greenhouse was damaged when a wheeled bin was thrown on to the roof, smashing the glass and causing £30 damage.

That happened at a property in New Road between 5pm on Friday, November 27, and 10.30am on Saturday, November 28.

On November 28, a cane garden chair worth £50 was stolen from the garden of a house in Buckeridge Avenue.

A police spokesman said: ‘It is likely that due to the close proximity it was the same offender.’
