ALLOTMENTS in Chudleigh have been plundered by a thieves.
Light-fingered miscreants have been raiding tool sheds at the Tower Hill plots, prompting the town council to issue a security alert.
Growers are being informed in an effort to establish exactly what the culprits got away with.
Anyone who has lost out to the marauders should ring police on 101, quoting crime reference CR/839/18.
A council spokesman said: ‘We are advising holders to check their allotments to see if any of their tools and belongings have been stolen.’
The break-ins were discovered over the New Year period.
