POLICE have appealed for information after a passenger received ‘significant serious injuries’ when a BMW left the A380 near the top of Telegraph Hill.

The accident happened yesterday afternoon, Saturday.

A police spokesperson said: ‘At 13:33 hours on Saturday, June 10, Police were notified of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a BMW which had left the road on the A380 near the top of Telegraph Hill on the Newton Abbot bound carriageway.

‘Devon Air Ambulance, South West Ambulance Service and Devon and Cornwall Police attended the incident.

‘A 25-year-old front seat passenger suffered significant serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

‘Telegraph Hill was closed for 5½ hours while police investigated this collision.

‘Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses, particularly with dashcam of the collision, to come forward quoting log 0504 of 10th June 2023.’
