A fire crew from Bovey Tracey assisted a horse that was stuck on fencing and unable free itself in Church Road at Hennock earlier this morning (New Year’s Day).
Working alongside a vet who was called to sedate the animal and with the animal rescue team from Exmouth, crews used a saw and other small tools to extract the equine just after 11.30am.
Duty of care was left with the owner.
