ONE person has been arrested after break-ins at two Newton Abbot businesses overnight on Saturday.

The Newton Abbot police (@NHPnewtonabbot) have tweeted this morning: ’Two local businesses have been broken into overnight.

‘These are independent businesses which can’t trade at present due to the covid-19 restrictions so this will hit them hard.

@NHPnewtonabbot also tweeted: ‘Have one in custody this morning and inquiries continue.’
