A MOTORIST escaped unhurt after his car flipped over on the A38 near Drumbridges this morning blocking one lane of traffic.
Emergency services attended the incident on the Plymouth-bound carriageway between Drumbridges and the Godstone junction just before 11am.
Two fire crews from Newton Abbot and Bovey Tracey made the upended car safe. Police and paramedics also went to the incident.
No other vehicles were involved.
The Mercedes car is thought to have hit standing water in the bad weather and rolled over twice before hitting a verge and ending up on its roof.
A police spokesman said the motorist suffered no apparent injuries, but was taken by ambulance to Plymouth’s Derriford Hospital ‘as a precaution’ because the car had rolled.
