THREE fire crews rushed to a mid-terraced property in Chudleigh after an electrical box burst into flames.

Numerous 999 calls were made after ‘possible’ smoke was seen coming through the roof of the house in Pullins Terrace in the early hours of yesterday.

Crews from the town were alerted, as were colleagues in Ashburton and Exeter just after 12.30am.

They arrived to find the fire was out.

Two sets of thermal imaging gear and an equal number of extension ladders were used to check whether fire had spread to the roof. No evidence was found.
