A man who was found with cocaine, cash and scales at his smallholding has admitted being a drug dealer.
Craig Lee, aged 27, of Holbrook Farm, Liverton, near Newton Abbot, changed his plea to guilty three days before he was due to go on trial for possessing cocaine with intent to supply at Exeter Crown Court.
Lee has already admitted possession of a Smith and Wesson pistol which was seized by police in the same raid and is liable to a minimum sentence of five years because it had a barrel of less than 30 centimetres.
He has also admitted possessing .22 ammunition without a certificate and possession a shotgun without a licence and while banned from owning any firearm.
The drugs allegations arise from a police raid on August 16, 2017in which officers seized £4,000 cash, a dealer’s list and 72 grams of cocaine with a street value of around £7,000.
Mr Richard Crabb, prosecuting, said the Crown do not accept a basis of plea in which Lee asserted there was no connection between the firearms offences and drug offences.
He said: ‘These were weapons which were available to him during the course of supply and weapons feature among people who deal in class A drugs.
‘The gun was stolen in a burglary after the date when his shotgun certificate was revoked.’
Judge David Evans adjourned the case for a fact finding hearing on Thursday, at which Lee will give evidence in support of his case. He was remanded in custody.
