POLICE are keeping a close watch on two locations in Kingsteignton after seizing cannabis from young motorists.

PCSOs were on routine patrol in the Humber Lane bridge area when they came across four suspects.

Other officers were called to the scene over the A380 last Thursday evening.

A quantity of drugs was confiscated by police who issued cannabis warnings to two of the individuals.

Officers told the pair they would be reported for alleged driving under the influence of drugs.

A police spokeswoman said officers would be stepping up patrols in the Humber Lane and Hestow Road bridge areas of the town as a result of the incident.

She said the seizures highlighted officers’ commitment to tackle drugs misuse and anti-social behaviour.

The cannabis found, although said to be ‘significant,’ was reckoned to be for personal use of the suspects.
