FIRE engines from Ashburton, Bovey Tracey and Newton Abbot were sent to deal with a fire at a business in Ashburton, Chuley Road yesterday morning (Wednesday).
On arrival, crews confirmed it was a fire involving the electrical intake on the building and asked for Western Power to attend.
A Fire control spokesperson said: ‘This was a small fire involving the electrical intake on the building.
‘The fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus wearers, one dry powder extinguisher, one hose reel jet, one covering jet, a positive pressure ventilation fan (PPV fan) and a thermal imaging camera.
‘The power supply was isolated by Western Power and the cause was accidental.
‘Duty of care was left with on site staff.’
