A FARM vehicle was badly damaged after bursting into flames off the Newton Abbot to Ashburton road yesterday.

Firefighters extinguished the blazing telehandler after the 999 call was made just before 3.30pm.

The drama happened just off the A383, near the turn-off to Hannahs.

Two fire crews from Newton Abbot dealt with the incident, including the environmental protection team who cleared up leaking diesel fuel.
