ORGANISERS of lit beacon tributes to the Queen on her 90th birthday are being urged to let fire chiefs know of their plans.
A spokesman at headquarters in Exeter explained: ‘This will help us avoid sending fire engines to false alarms when they could be responding to a real emergency.’
Numerous fire tributes have been set up across the UK to mark HRH’s special day on April 21.
Anyone who has not notified the brigade should do so by emailing [email protected] with the name of the organiser, contact details, location of the event and its start and planned finish times.
