THREE fire crews dealt with a laundry blaze outside Newton Abbot this morning when an industrial ironing machine caught alight.

Two foam extinguishers were used to tackle the small fire at commercial premises on Kingskerswell Road.

The alarm was raised just after 9am. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for any lurking dangers.

Two crews from Newton Abbot responded to the 999 call as did one from Torquay.
