TWO children were rescued from their bedroom in Newton Abbot after accidentally being locked in yesterday.

A fire crew from Torquay dealt with the drama in Park View after the 999 call was made just after 9.30am.

A fire spokesman said small tools were used on a faulty lock to rescue the youngsters unharmed.
