FIRE Crews from Bovey Tracey, Ashburton, Moretonhampstead and Torquay dealt with a fire outside a Bovey Tracey shop yesterday afternoon (Sunday).

The firefighters and the aerial ladder platform crew from Torquay dealt with the fire involving an external electrical consumer unit at around 1.30pm.

A fire service spokesperson said: ‘Crews extinguished the fire using a dry powder extinguisher, one hose reel jet, one safety jet, one thermal imaging camera, two breathing apparatus, small tools, and a positive pressure ventilation fan.

‘Once the fire was extinguished and the scene made safe crews handed over to Western Power.’
