FIRE FIGHTERS had to remove the roof of a car to release a trapped person after a crash in Newton Abbot yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
Two Fire Engines from Torquay, were sent to a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision on St Marychurch Road, Newton Abbot, at just after 2.30pm
A fire service spokesperson said: ‘On arrival crews confirmed this was two vehicles involved and one person was still within one vehicle.
‘Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof and free the casualty, who was then left in the hands of the Ambulance service.’
