ABOUT 200 litres of diesel fuel leaked on to the highway after a coach crashed into a hedge outside Ipplepen on the A383.
Three fire crews from Newton Abbot were called to deal with the spillage in the early hours of Saturday.
Specialist environmental protection gear was used to stop the diesel getting in to the local watercourse at Mill Cross, Wrigwell.
The alarm on the Newton Abbot to Totnes road was raised just before 5am when the coach’s fuel tank ruptured on impact.
