A DOZEN firefighters were called to deal with a kitchen blaze in Moretonhampstead last night.

A fire in a grill pan was extinguished using a fire blanket.

The alarm in Ford Street was raised just after 10pm.

A fire spokesman said the occupants were afterwards given safety advice by the crews from the town and from Chagford.

Smoke was vented from the property.
