FIRE crews from Ashburton, Bovey Tracey and Paignton responded to a kitchen fire at Wash Barn near Buckfastleigh yesterday evening (Sat, Jan 13th).
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service control received reports of a fire in a kitchen just after 5pm and mobilised three pumps and a duty officer to the scene.
On arrival crews confirmed a fire involving a commercial kitchen oven and the building was heavily smoked logged.
A DSFRS spokesman said : “Firefighters got to work using positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke in the property and used two breathing apparatus, one thermal imaging camera, a covering jet and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.”
