POLICE and paramedics were called to Newton Abbot’s railway station last night after a man was reported to be creating a disturbance.
Officers and an ambulance crew descended on platform 3 to deal with the outburst just after 6pm.
British Transport Police were called to the scene where a man was arrested for an alleged public order offence. He was taken away for questioning by transport police officers in Exeter.
A spokesman said the man was today bailed till the end of the month pending further inquiries.
An ambulance spokesman said the services of paramedics were not required.
An ambulance and rapid response vehicle were sent to the Station Road location with two police vans and a patrol car.
