A MAN was beaten up as he made his way home late at night in Newton Abbot.
The 26-year-old man was set upon in Market Street some time between Saturday night at 11.30pm and the first few minutes of Sunday morning.
Police have crimed the incident as one of grievous bodily harm.
Officers are anxious to speak to anyone who can help them with their inquiries.
They should ring 101, and quote crime reference CR/070878/17.
A police spokesman said details of the incident remained sketchy. The victim was due to be interviewed soon by detectives.
