A 20-YEAR-OLD man needed hospital treatment after a stabbing incident in Chudleigh.

The victim was wounded in his chest and arm in Monday night’s assault.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to ‘a serious’ assault.

Paramedics were called to the scene in Fore Street around 8.20pm.

They initially treated the victim before taking him by ambulance to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. He was later released.

Officers investigating the stabbing believe it was an isolated incident.

They are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen two men running away from the area about 8.20pm.
