BIKES and vehicles together worth £25,000 have been stolen in two

separate raids in the Newton Abbot area in the last week.

In Newton Abbot thieves escaped with a £15,000 haul of three

motorcross bikes and four pedal cycles from a property in the

Decoy Road area.

The theft, thought to have involved a getaway van, happened

overnight on Thursday.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who saw or heard

anything suspicious in the area.

The bikes were a white and red Honda, a yellow and lime Honda and

a yellow Suzuki with the number 13 on the number plates.

The pedal cycles were a Scott, Giant and Specialised.

Anyone with information should ring police on 101, quoting crime

CR/1 5449/16.

And on Sunday a blue Ford tractor and double-axled timber trailer

were reported stolen from a copse area at Stover Golf Club.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 and quote

crime CR14654/1 6.

The thefts are not thought to be linked.
