A 22-year-old man has denied carrying out a serious assault in Newton Abbot.
Sam Trendell, of Windsor Avenue, Newton Abbot, pleaded not guilty to a single count of inflicting grievous bodily harm when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court.
He is alleged to have assaulted Nathan Meek on August 9, 2017. He says he was not present when the attack took place.
Judge David Evans adjourned his case for a trial later this year and released him on bail.
