A YOUNG man has been arrested in connection with an attack on Newton Abbot pensioner Brian Newton. Mr Newton, 77, was knocked unconscious during an aggravated burglary at his Buckland home on October 25. Police confirmed today that a 24-year-old man had been detained in connection with the incident. Mr Newton suffered facial injuries and had his wallet containing £120 stolen. The suspect has since been questioned and bailed until January 13 when he will face further enquiries.
