POLICE have managed to track down an elderly woman who went missing from Newton Abbot earlier today.

Emergency services responded to the 999 shout at a property off the Ashburton Road at around 3pm.

A police spokesman revealed the woman, in her 70s, had been found safe and sound by officers after a 40 minute search.
