ONE fire crew from Newton Abbot were called to assist in entry to a property in the town this morning. (Friday, July 7)

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue spokesman said:“ We were contacted by ambulance control just after 11am as they were having difficulty gaining entry to a house in Jubilee Road where an elderly man had fallen.”

The crew successfully gained access via a window, and care of the occupant was left in the hands of ambulance personal.
