A PEDESTRIAN suffered life-threatening injuries in collision with a car at Chagford this afternoon. (fri)

The casualty, a man, was being flown to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth after the accident on the A382 just before 2pm.

The woman driver of the car involved was checked over at the location by paramedics.

A police spokesman said the A382 was closed both ways between Whiddon Down and Moretonhampstead.

‘The road is expected to remain closed for some time so motorists are advised to take an alternative route for the time being,’ the spokesman added.
