FIREFIGHTERS were called out after nearly 20 litres of petrol leaked from a jerry can in a pick-up truck in Kingsteignton on Monday night.
It’s thought the can had toppled over in the back of the vehicle, causing the lid to pop off and allow the contents to leak out in to the road and towards a drain.
The fire crew used environmental pads to prevent any contamination of the water supply before mopping up the spill at 10pm.
