Police are investigating reports that two 15-year-old girls, who are known to one another, have been seriously sexually assaulted in Newton Abbot.
The incidents took place on separate occasions. The first incident happened at Courtenay Park in Newton Abbot between 6pm on Saturday, September 30 and 9am on Sunday, October 1.
The second incident happened in the grounds near Forde House, Brunel Road, and near Sainsbury’s local on East Street between 8.30pm on Tuesday, October 3 and 2am on Wednesday, October 4.
Police are carrying out enquiries which included scenes of crime officers conducting forensics at woodland in Newton Abbot.
The suspect is believed to be known to the two girls.
The girls and their families are being supported by officers and our enquiries continue.
