A BABY was rushed to hospital after being scalded by a cup of tea in Kingsteignton.

Devon’s Air Ambulance responded to the 999 shout after the accident was reported in the Whitears Way area just after 3.30pm on Friday.

The tot suffered burns to the face, arms and tummy in the accident.

An ambulance spokesman said the casualty was taken by road ambulance to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital at Wonford.

The aircraft, which was not needed, landed at Clifford Park.
