DUE to a serious collision overnight on the South Devon Highway near Newton Abbot, a full scene investigation is taking place.

A police spokesperson said: ‘As a result, the A380 will be closed in both directions, between Penn Inn and Edginswell, until approx 7.30am. Highways England are putting appropriate diversions in place.

‘The public are thanked for their patience and understanding while this crucial examination takes place.’
