A YOUNG cyclist was rushed to hospital after a road accident near the Penn Inn roundabout in Newton Abbot.

The 16-year-old boy was taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital after colliding with a car near an electricity sub-station just after 4pm yesterday.

The rider suffered a head injury and breathing difficulties in the bump.
