A TODDLER was taken to hospital after being hurt in a road accident in Newton Abbot.

The three-year-old boy was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Astra in Wain Lane just after 10.30am on Sunday.

He was taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital for a precautionary check-up.
