FIREFIGHTERS were called to a property in Moretonhampstead to deal with a chimney blaze.

On arrival they made checks at the address in Pound Street which revealed the fire had extinguished itself.

The alarm was raised just after 11.30pm on Saturday.

One crew from the town dealt with the incident. Safety advice was offered to the householder.
