A NINETY-year-old woman was rescued by firefighters today after getting stuck in her bath.

A neighbour raised the alarm when the pensioner failed to answer the door at her home in Newton Abbot’s Keyberry Road just before 11am.

Firefighters forced entry through a kitchen door to find the woman trapped in her tub.

Before rushing to her aid they used a ladder to confirm the woman’s plight and chat to her about their rescue bid.

Paramedics were also called to the address to check over the casualty.
