A WOMAN pedestrian was seriously hurt in an accident involving a car yesterday afternoon (Saturday) in Teignmouth.

Police report that at around 12.47pm they attended a report of a RTC involving a car and pedestrian on Dawlish Street, Teignmouth. 

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Next of kin have been informed. The road was closed while the scene was examined.

A police spokesperson said: ‘Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, either vehicle prior to the collision or have dash camera footage to contact police, quoting the log number 448 of April 3.’
