POLICE have been tipped off about youths allegedly dealing in drugs blatantly on a disused railway track in Newton Abbot.
One outraged member of the public who came across a gang of youths openly engaging in the illicit trade said: ‘The youths were coming and going. I saw one lad take a package off another and hand him £10. It was so blatant.’
The informer, who said he was telling police of his concerns, gave his name but did not want it printed.
He revealed that the favoured site for the cash-for-drugs trade was the old railway line where it crosses the Whitelake canal and the River Lemon.
