A SECTION of the A38 has been closed following a serious three-vehicle collision near Buckfastleigh.

Emergency services were called to the southbound carriageway at around 9.35am on Monday, 20 July, after reports of the crash. The road remains closed while police and other emergency responders deal with the incident.

One man is believed to have suffered serious injuries. His condition has not been confirmed.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes while the closure remains in place.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the collision to come forward. Anyone who can help is asked to contact officers via 101 or online, quoting log 197 of 20 July.
