FOR little Alexa Galloway, from Chudleigh, the joy of a toy is an unknown pleasure because of her crippling condition.
Most two-year-old tots enjoy the simple delights of play – but these are cruelly denied to Alexa because her disability severely restricts movement.
But determined mum Juliet is hoping that all this might change when Alexa marks her third birthday in September with the acquisition of some expensive but liberating gadgetry which could make all her frustrations a thing of the past.
Juliet has launched a fundraising campaign to buy a special computer which would allow Alexa the freedom to play games and even give her a voice which has been silenced by her affliction, a rare neurological disorder known as Rett Syndrome.
