It is becoming a bad soap opera! Today (Wednesday, April 20) David Cameron rolled out another yet another batch of eight half-dead old politicians with a self-serving agenda, this time Americans, represented by a drawling purveyor of leaden and repetitive rhetoric, who reminded us incessantly of, ‘the special relationship’ between our two nations. This was no doubt intended as the verbal advance guard for Obama’s visit to our shores.

When analysed, ‘the special relationship’ which is considered by them sufficient sanction to lecture us about remaining in the corrupt, sclerotic, and rapidly failing EU, turned solely on the fact that we are ’America’s bridge to Europe’.

Yes indeed, for them we serve the same purpose as does that of Israel in the Middle East, i.e. as a bulwark to help protect no-one else but the USA.

Our ‘bridge’ simply means that if things in the disintegrating continent of Europe collapsed to the benefit of Islam in the Middle East and Asia, we would quickly have half the American military, and an arsenal of nuclear weapons on our shores, and as a further quid pro quo from our government in return for Obama supporting Cameron’s mad desire to hold us into the EU, we would be expected yet again, to send British troops to be killed and maimed in more of their pointless wars. We can all see how well Iraq worked out, and others too numerous to mention over many years. Now the Saudi problem bubbles again, and Syria is in the loop.

So, build your OWN damned bridges to Europe Obama, and LEAVE OUR REFERENDUM TO US!
