THE Co-op has been accused of 'vandalising' a flower and shrub border adjoining its Teignmouth Brook Street store.
Residents in Bickford Lane say they were horrified when the supermarket tore up the border alongside the car park, without warning.
They sent a protest letter to the store, maintaining the area was also a habitat for a large variety of wildlife.
The Co-op claims the area had become overgrown and could attract vermin.
