Animals in Distress has sadly had to make the decision to postpone their family fun day at their Ipplepen centre tomorrow, September 17.

Nicola Moorhouse, fundraising and communications manager said: ‘We have very limited parking at the rescue centre, and totally rely on surrounding fields for parking.

‘Due to all the rain we have had recently, the parking fields are already completely waterlogged, and more rain is expected over the next few days which will make the situation worse.

‘We are just as disappointed as our supporters will be, as we so look forward to this day each year.

‘We are very sorry to disappoint everyone, and would like to thank everyone for all their support as always.'

The new date for the event will be next year, and will be announced shortly.
