KINGSTEIGNTON-based charity Shared Lives South West has bagged itself yet another award.

It scooped up the Best Respite Care Service South Coast UK award at this year’s Social Care Awards.

The charity is no stranger to gaining accolades having recently won the Great British Care Award Innovator of the Year award.

Shared Lives provides support for vulnerable adults – people with learning difficulties, mental health issues and illnesses related to old age – by providing them with accommodation.

The person who needs the service is matched with a carer who opens up their family home to them.
